QUICK RELEASE TYPE FIXING DEVICE FOR EXPANSION-CONTRACTION MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly release extensible-contractible members by providing two fixing devices to be locked/released so as to selectively check/allow relative lengthwise directional sliding motion between first and second extensible-contractible members in a quick release type fixing device related to a prism arm or the like composed of the first and the second extensible-contractible members. SOLUTION: A prism pole 12 is composed of an outside extensible-contractible member 16 and an inside extensible-contractible member 14 to extend and contract a length of the pole 12 by sliding in it, and its extending-contracting operation is fixed by a fixing device 10. This fixing device 10 has first and second fixing mechanisms 100 and 150 arranged in a housing 40 having a cylindrical shape as a whole. The respective fixing mechanisms 100 and 150 contain plural annular lock rings whose directions are mutually set inverse and which are accumulated so as to be freely movable in the horizontal direction, and the respective annular lock rings are made pivotally freely rotatable between a first position which checks sliding in one direction by engaging with the inside extensible-contractible member 14 but allows sliding in the reverse direction and a second position to slidingly move the inside extensible-contractible member 14 even in both directions.
