PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent ink jet recording medium suitable for printing an image of high quality level near a photographic image with small dot diameter per one droplet of ink, rapidly absorbing the ink, and excellent ink retentivity and water resistance of an ink accepting layer SOLUTION: The ink jet recording medium comprises an ink accepting layer at least on ode surface of a base material film, wherein the ratio of the number of fluorine atoms to the number of the entire elements observed on the surface of an ink accepting layer in the case of analyzing by an ESCA is in a range of 10 to 30%, and the light beam permeability of the medium is 60% or more. |
