FIELD: evaluation of gold content in investigated material in mining industry, particularly, determination of electrically conductive particle presence in loose material such as gold particles. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of providing contact of sensing member with investigated material, moving them one relative to another, measuring electrical conductance of material particles and registering them with increased conductance; in moment of measuring electrical conductance, contact pressure of particles on sensing member is measured, and measuring the electrical conductance is carried out at constant contact pressure; at least two measurements are carried out in each selected point at different contact pressure.
