The cover (14) incorporates at least one extruded strand (16) running along the cable and melted into the cover main part. The strand has a higher resistance to traction than the cover main part. The tearable cover can be an inner or outer cover. The strand has a colour different to that of the cover main part. The strand can be pushed in to the end of the cover forwards to an insulated conductor (10, 12) or optical fibre. It can also be pushed into the cover without reaching a conductor or optical fibre. Furthermore, it can be pushed forward over the main part of the cover outer contour, so that it forms a raised formation along or in the cable. The cable can be provided with four identical electrical copper conductors (10), each with a cross-sectional area of 10 sq.mm. The plastic cover (12) has a thickness of 0.7 mm. |
