The method and device for the measuring and taking of dental impressions is used following the taking of a normal impression and the hardening of the impression material in the patients mouth. The measuring device is then immediately inserted into the mouth and fixed in position. Measurements are then taken and following the measuring, the measuring device is removed. Subsequently the impression spoon is removed. The impression spoon has a built-in clamp plate (1) which is removably fixed via a magnet (3) to a housing (2) which has a removable stable connection (4) for the measuring device.
