PURPOSE:To efficiently produce the subject catalyst by cleaning the catalyst with a cleaning liquid after the reaction, then aging and separating the cleaning liquid from the catalyst in the production process of the catalyst by using a metal halide salt aq. soln., an alkli metal cyanomethalate soln. and an org. ligand. CONSTITUTION:The multiple metal cyanide complex catalyst is obtained from a metal halide aq. soln. (e.g. zinc chloride), an alkali metal cyanomethalate soln. (cobalt potassium cyanate) and an org. ligand (e.g. diethyleneglycol dimethylether). In this process, the catalyst after reaction and aging is cleaned with a cleaning liquid, namely an org. ligand, and then the cleaning liquid is separated with a rotary cylindrical filter or rotary disk filter. Thereby, the objective catalyst which can effect on the open-ring reaction of monoepoxide such as alkylene oxide can efficiently be produced, and the obtd. catalyst has uniform and high activity. |
