<p>PURPOSE: To inform a succeeding vehicle whether a vehicle passes a check barrier, a tollhouse, or the like without stopping by presenting information, which indicates whether the vehicle stops at the check barrier or the entrance tollhouse or the exit tollhouse or not, to the succeeding vehicle by a communication controller on the road side. CONSTITUTION: A recording medium 6 where information related to tolls of toll roads is stored and a communication controller on the vehicle which can communicate with communication controllers on the road side provided in check barriers, entrance tollhouses, and exit tollhouses and controls information storage to the recording medium 6 and information read from this medium 6 are provided. Communication controllers on the road side are so constituted that they can present the information, which indicates whether the vehicle stops at check barriers or entrance tollhouses or exit tollhouses or not, to the succeeding vehicle. Thus, there is no possibility that the vehicle running ahead stops unintentionally at tollhouses or the like, and it is unnecessary for the driver of the succeeding vehicle to jam on the brakes.</p> |
