FACSIMILE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To manage the facsimile information received by a facsimile equipment efficiently and economically for each user by converting the facsimile information into electronic data and managing the converted electronic data for each user specified by an imaginary number. CONSTITUTION: Upon the receipt of facsimile information addressed to an imaginary number via a public line, a telephone exchange 50 provides the imaginary number and a real number corresponding to the imaginary number to a telephony server 30 with incoming call information. In this case, a facsimile server 40 receives the facsimile information and converts the information into prescribed electronic image data of a TIFF form or the like. Then the image data are distributed to a terminal unit of a user specified by the imaginary number in a form of an electronic mail. Thus, facsimile information is distributed to plural users efficiently and economically.
