PURPOSE: To attain high image quality without prolonging time required for forming an image by providing plural control sequences for automatically setting a toner image forming condition on an image carrier and having different necessary time, and selecting the control sequence in accordance with the state of the device. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with plural control sequences for automatically setting the toner image forming condition on the image carrier and having the different necessary time, and the control sequence is selected in accordance with the state of the device. In the device, a voltage control part 31 is constituted of a RAM, and a CPU being a bias arithmetic means and a control means so as to calculate developing bias. A D/A converter 32 converts a digital signal from the voltage control part 31 to an analog signal again, and transmits the analog signal to high voltage control units 43a to 43d, 44a to 44d and developing bias voltage control circuits 35a to 35d. Thus, the voltage control part 31 controls corona wire impressed voltage, grid bias voltage and the developing bias voltage. |
