PURPOSE: To enable a user to obtain the actual feel as if the user is warmed to the core of the body by a far IR effect even if the temp. of hot water is low by constituting a bathtub of a first layer consisting of a material allowing the transmission of light and a second layer which is formed on the outer side of the first layer and consists of a far IR heat radiation ceramic material. CONSTITUTION: The bathtub 1 is composed of the first layer 2 of which the front surface comes into contact with the hot water and the second layer 3 which is formed on the rear side of the first layer 2. The first layer 2 is formed of the material which allows the transmission of the light of an acrylic resin, etc. Besides, the second layer 3 consists of the far IR heat radiation ceramic material. Alumina, β-Spodumene, zircon, etc., are adequately used as the far IR heat radiation ceramic material. More preferably, the second layer 3 is previously provided with the powder of the far IR heat radiation ceramic material incorporated into a vinyl ester resin, unsatd. polyester resin, etc., as a primer layer 3a and a third layer 3b consisting of reinforced plastic is formed on the outer side thereof for the purpose of reinforcement. |
