BETA-GALACTOSIDASE-PRODUCING PLASMID AND PRODUCTION OF BETA-GALACTOSIDASE

摘要

PURPOSE: To produce aβ-galactosidase-producing plasmid capable of efficiently expressing aβ-galactosidase gene derived from Streptococcus thermophilus in a cell of a transformant strain of Bacillus subtilis and mass-producing theβ-galactosidase of the Streptococcus thermophilus. CONSTITUTION: Aβ-galactosidase-producing plasmid prepared by connecting aβ-galactosidase gene derived from Streptococcus thermophilus to the downstream side of a promoter derived from a Bacillus subtilis template phage SP02 is transduced into the Bacillus subtilis and cultured in the culture medium to accumulate theβ-galactosidase in the cultured microbial cell. Thereby, theβ-galactosidase is collected.
