Several aisles (2) extending upwards and downwards from the path along which the wood is removed are spaced apart by a pre-set amount. The aisles are laid diagonally to the removal path (1) on the slope and take wood-harvester vehicles. The aisles are spaced apart by 35 to 40 metres, are 4 to 6 metres wide, and are positioned diagonally on the slope at an angle of 20 to 45 degrees. Along the aisles, the trees are felled at right angles to the aisle, and next pushed by a digger to the side into the tree stand. Starting from the aisle, further trees are felled, chopped into cordwood, sorted into groups and stored. the cordwood is then removed along the aisle.
