The expansion valve (32) has a valve body (36) with an inlet (36a) for a refrigeration medium provided by a condenser of the air-conditioning device, fed through a throttle (58) for adiabatic expansion, the output (36b) of the valve body connected to a refrigeration evaporator. The flow cross-section of the throttle is controlled by an adjustable valve element (40), in dependence on the temp. and pressure of the refrigeration medium, with the valve element (90) of the electromagnetic valve (34) controlling the opening and closing of the output leading to the evaporator.
