Sign application to rubber materials

To produce a sign on a rubber elastic material, a compound film (10) is prepared composed of a carrier layer (11) and a sign layer (13) of an elastomer with an adhesive layer (12). The required sign shape is stamped from the compound film (10). The compound film (10), together with the upper carrier layer (11) is vulcanised to the rubber material and, after vulcanising, the carrier layer (11) is peeled off. The carrier layer (11) is of polypropylene.
