An apparatus and method for optimizing coagulant and flocculent chemical feed in a wastefluid treatment system is disclosed which uses two or more contaminant-concentration dependent parametric detectors to measure the detected parameter in chemically-treated wastefluid and chemically-treated, solid-separated wastefluid.
