<p>PURPOSE: To effectively read and store the display information without using a display information production device by storing the display information on a display device into a memory means which is included in a programmable controller. CONSTITUTION: A display device 2 is connected to a programmable controller 1 which contains a CPU and a memory means, and the device 2 displays the states of internal elements of the controller 1. The device 2 is provided with a communication control means which performs communication with the memory means of the controller 1. The communication control means stores the display information on the device 2 in a readable way in a part of the area of the memory means where the communication can be controlled by a peripheral device. Then the display information on the device 2 itself can be written in and read out of a memory area that can the controlled by the communication performed with the controller 1. As a result, the display information can be effectively and economically written and read without requiring any information production device, etc.</p> |
