PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold a contact tail in the central position within a housing by deforming a holding plate adjacent to an intermediate slot part around the both surfaces facing a holding extending part of an electrical contact. SOLUTION: A D-subminiature electrical connector 10 of an right angle is formed by supporting a plurality of electrical contacts 14 within a housing containing an almost slender main body 16 having a front surface 18 having a plurality of openings 22, a space for housing the electrical contacts 14, a top wall 28, a bottom wall 30, and a back surface 20. The contact 14 is a slender member having a mutual connecting end part 46 formed in a socket shape and a contact tail 48 facing to its opposite end. The mutual connecting part 46 of the contact 14 is inserted into the opening 22, loaded within a connector housing 12, and the contact tail 48 is inserted into a slot 40 of the bottom wall 30. |
