<p>PURPOSE: To manage an address denoting a communication destination of a host computer at a low cost in a message distribution equipment where portable terminals are connected to the host computer. CONSTITUTION: A controller 4 connecting to a host computer 1 and a message distributer 3 are interconnected by a communication channel. Then a portable terminal equipment 2 is mounted onto the message distributer 3 to be communicated to the host computer 1 by using the communication channel. The controller 4 provides an output of an address denoting the message distributer 3 designated by the host computer 1 to each message distributer 3 via a signal channel different from the communication channel. The message distributer 3 receiving the address desides whether or not the address is its own address. Then the message distributer 3 receiving an address other than its own address interrupts the communication channel. Moreover, the message distributer 3 receiving its own address connects the communication channel to permit data communication between the mounted portable terminal 2 and the host computer 1.</p> |
