SECONDARY GLAUCOMA TREATMENT METHOD

FIELD: medicine; surgery; ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: method involves raising a surface scleral graft shaped as an inverted trapezium with its base directed towards the limb. The sinus and trabecula area is excised prior to peripheral iridectomy followed by fixation of the surface scleral graft in the raised position by means of bringing the opposite free ends of the graft closer to each other. The sinus and trabecula area is excised concurrently with excision of the deeper sclera layers to the ciliary body is the form of a strip lengthwise the scleral bed, then cuts are done on both sides of the graft base. The next operation is bilateral cyclodialysis followed by fixation of the surface graft by means of incarceration of its side edges in the front chamber corner and supraciliary space along the entire length of the excised strip of the deeper scleral layers. EFFECT: more stable hypotensive effect; less frequent complications.
