<p>A flexible, finite, pressure sensitive adhesive composition suitable for transdermal use, comprising a blend of: (a) a therapeutically effective amount of at least one bioactive agent; (b) a pressure sensitive adhesive in an amount of 40-95 %, based on the weight of the total adhesive composition; (c) an adhesiveness increasing amount of a bioadhesive humectant; and (d) optionally, a pharmaceutically acceptable solvent for the bioactive agent, methods of increasing adhesiveness and of administering a pressure sensitive composition are described.</p> |
