PURPOSE: To enhance the quality of an image by making the mark by a notched roller inconspicuous. CONSTITUTION: A sheet like recording medium S having a gloss surface (of which the 60 deg. mirror surface glossiness prescribed by JISZ8741 is pref. 60% or more) is fed while held between the drive roller 17a arranged on the rear surface side of the recording medium S and the notched roller 17b with a thickness of 0.05-0.5mm pressing the glass surface to the drive roller by pressing force of 5-30g and ink is emitted to the gloss surface to record an image of 360dpi or more. An image is recorded so that the ink absorbing quantity per unit area at a time when ink is emitted so that the area entire surface to the unit area of the sheet like recording medium is covered with dots of ink is 4×10-4g/cm<2> -6×10-3g/cm<2> . |
