PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic writing utensil and writing means, with which lines and points having fine and sharp outlines are realized, and a magnetic display utilizing the means. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic writing utensil A and a writing means A' as a means for attracting light-absorbing ferromagnetic powder (y) onto the non- magnetic displaying plate 20 face side of a displaying means C consisting of a non-magnetic base plate and a non-magnetic displaying plate, between which oily liquid suspendedly including light absorbing ferromagnetic powder and light reflexing non-magnetic fine powder is kept, are equipped under the condition that the permanent magnet 30 equipped on the magnetic utensil. A and the writing means A' is so equipped as to position its magnetic poles to the tip side of a writing holder 50 and to the side opposite to the tip side.
