The use of methylenedioxybenzene derivatives having the following general formula: <IMG> (I) in which R1, R2, R3 and R4 are H or CH2O(CH2CH2O)2R6, provided that at least one of R1, R2, R3 and R4 is H and at least one of R1, R2, R3 and R4 is other than H, and R6 is H or an alkyl group with 1-4 C atoms, in compositions for insecticide use in which said derivatives exercise a synergistic action on the various classes of insecticides in general.
