PURPOSE: To obtain a prepreg, comprising reinforcing fibers, an epoxy resin composition having a specific value or above of flexural elastic modulus and an epoxy resin composition, having a specific value or above of tensile breaking elongation and present on the surface side thereof, excellent in mechanical characteristics of a compression system and impact resistance and suitable as a structural material. CONSTITUTION: This prepreg contains (A) reinforcing fibers, (B) an epoxy resin composition, capable of providing a cured product having >=380kgf/mm flexural elastic modulus at ambient temperature and >=280kgf/mm<2> flexural elastic modulus at 82 deg.C after absorbing boiling water for 20hr and containing diaminodiphenyl sulfone as a curing agent component and (C) an epoxy resin composition, capable of affording a cured product having >=5%, preferably >=7% tensile breaking elongation and containing a compound of the formula (X1 to X8 are each H, a halogen or a 1-5C alkyl; Y1 is a 1-10C alkylene), etc., as a curing agent component and present on the surface side thereof. |
