PURPOSE: To correct the position deviation of an X-ray focus accompanying the temperature rise of an X-ray tube and to provide images without artifacts. CONSTITUTION: A detector channel number for detecting a pin phantom placed at a rotation center 10 is actually measured by respective two storage heat capacities and stored in a correction memory 24, a controller 21 obtains the focus position deviation from the storage heat capacity at the time of actual CT scanning from the stored relation and thus, gathered data are corrected in a correction circuit 14.
