The device, fitted to milling machines for the removal of cuttings, comprises a suction tube (16) adjacent to the tool carrier (10). One end of the tube is connected to a suction mechanism and the other end carries a nozzle (20) located near to the head (12) controlling movement of the tool (14). The nozzle is constituted by an elbowed U shaped conduit, closed at its ends, whose lateral branches are placed above and either side the control head so as to surround it. The nozzle has several suction vents (28) divided around its perimeter each taking a flexible pipe. The nozzle middle part has a connector (22) joining it to the suction tube.
