PURPOSE: To reduce the equivalent series resistance of a capacitor by hydrophilizing a porous fluorine resin film, further charging water soluble polymer in the pores of the film, and forming a separator for the capacitor. CONSTITUTION: The liquid in which fluorine surfactant is dissolved in ethyl alcohol (about 1wt.% of surfactant concentration) is prepared. A porous film made of polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) having a thickness of about 15μm, a pore size of about 15μm and a porosity of about 90% is dipped in the liquid for about one minute, and lifted, and the alcohol is evaporated to be removed by air-dry. Thus, the hydrophilized porous PTFE film is obtained. Then, the hydrophilized film is dipped in methylcellulose water solution (about 10wt.% of methylcellulose concentration) for about one minute, lifted, heated at about 40 deg.C for about 10 minutes to evaporate to remove the water, thereby obtaining a separator. Thus, the equivalent series resistance of a capacitor can be lowered.
