PURPOSE: To prevent formation of a shrink mark, to suppress a release sound, to lighten a weight and to shorten a hardening time by cooling, by forming a hollow part in a front grille for an outdoor machine of an air conditioner which has a section shaped like an ellipse or the like practically and having a thick part and is molded by injection molding of a thermoplastic synthetic resin, by injection of gas at the time of the molding. CONSTITUTION: A vertical support 2 which holds horizontal supports 1 each having a section shaped like an ellipse practically and having a part of a large thickness in an outlet front grille intersects the horizontal support 1 perpendicularly and is formed of a thermoplastic synthetic resin molded monolithically, while a hollow part 3 is formed in each horizontal support 1 by injection of gas at the time of molding. After the molten thermoplastic synthetic resin is injected into a mold, in preparation of the grille, the periphery of the grille is pressed on the wall surface of the mold by applying a back pressure from the hollow part 3 and cooled down to be hardened and then the grille is taken out. Since the surface thereof is smooth and has no shrink mark, therefore, the effect of collision with a flow of air discharged from an impeller in the use can be made small for a wide angle of incidence and a burble sound on the surface of the grille becomes small. |
