PURPOSE: To prevent toner from being leaked from a developing device or a process cartridge after tearing a toner seal and to improve operability in the tearing action of the toner seal. CONSTITUTION: This developing device is provided with a developer container 2 storing developer; and the container 2 is provided with an opening part 2f for supplying the developer 7 to a developing device side, and a sealing member 5 sealing the opening part 2f and teared by pulling a seal part. The device is provided with a take-up member 4 with which one end of the seal part is coupled to take up the seal part, and the opening part and the take-up member 4 are arranged in a hermetically sealed space constituted by the container 2 and the housing of the developing device.
