PURPOSE:To eliminate a parallax by which a difference is generated in an object to be photographed and to prevent an erroneous range finding by allowing an area of the longest object distance side of a first area and an area of the shortest object distance of a second area to overlap. CONSTITUTION:A control part 18 allows a selecting circuit 19 to select a center chip 5, and also, switches a data switching circuit 14. The control part 18 allows a driving circuit 20 to operate, allows the center chip 5 to emit a light beam and projects a center light beam 10. A reflected light 10a is made incident on a photodetecting sensor 8 and brought to image formation in a position of a distance d1 from the center of the sensor 8, and by receiving an output D1 corresponding to the incident position in such a case, a distance calculating circuit 13 outputs range finding data D2, and it is stored in a storage circuit 15. Subsequently, the control part 18 allows a side chip 6 to emit a light beam, and the range finding data D2 which is brought to image formation in a position of a distance d2 from the center of the sensor 8 is stored in a storage circuit 16. A data deciding part 17 compares the range finding data of the storage circuit 15 and the storage circuit 16 and a reference value and discriminates the effectiveness. |
