<p>PURPOSE: To conduct failure discrimination with the rotational speed of a motor taken into consideration. CONSTITUTION: This power steering device is provided with a torque sensor 17, a motor 3, and a speed factor sensor 49, and a command current value is determined by a command current determination means 45 based on steering torque and speed factor. A power element part control means 37 drives the motor 3 based on the command current value. A current sensor 41 for detecting an actual current value passing through the motor 3 is provided. When a difference between the command current value (i)* and an actual current value (i) exceeds a preset value, a discrimination means 55 discriminates it as abnormal to operate safety devices 5, 39. It is thus possible to conduct control by failure discrimination with the rotational speed of the motor taken into consideration.</p> |
