Disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition for producing analgesia and treating antiinflammatory disease in a human subject while avoiding proteinuria, which comprises an effective amount of 6-chloro-5-fluoro-3-(2-thenoyl)-2-oxindole-1-carboxamide or a pharmaceutically acceptable base salt thereof, in admixture with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
