<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure swing adsorption apparatus and a method for separating a first gas such as gaseous oxygen from a gaseous mixture such as air contg. gaseous components capable of adsorbing selectively as oxygen, and the like. SOLUTION: This method include a new process for simultaneously pressurizing feed and product gases after simultaneously equalizing and evacuating the pressure swing adsorption bed, in which a first gas is separated from the gaseous mixture contg. at least one of a first gas which is unable to be adsorbed with priority such as oxygen and argon, and one or more of selectively adsorbable second gases. In the method, a depressurization means such as a vacuum blower, is perfectly utilized to obtain comprehensively faster and much effective cycle and to reduce about 15% in power requirement. The total cycle time is shortened by overlapping various processes of the pressure swing adsorption cycle, then the producibility is improved.</p> |
