PURPOSE: To provide a thermal recording medium having a polyvinyl chloride resin film as a support, improved in storage stability and recording aptitute and especially applicable to ticket paper such as a ticket or a pass, cards such as a prepaid card or the like and labels such as a POS label or the like. CONSTITUTION: In a thermal recording medium wherein a thermal recording layer based on a leuco dye, a coupler allowing the leuco dye to form a color at a time of heating and composed of a polyvinyl chloride resin film, an anchor layer based on a silica-containing acrylic resin emulsion is provided between the support and the thermal recording layer. |
