The method of mfg. a garment shoulder pad consists of (A) supplying a pallet(20) equipped with a pair of forming jigs(21,22), (B) feeding and vacuum sucking such as cotton on the top cover and the bottom cover of the pad, (C) pressing and forming semi-manufactures by means of a steam press(60) with a number of needles(61), (D) placing inner fabric(62) on one of the covers with insertion, (E) laying the top cover semi-manufactures on the bottom cover semi-manufactures, (F) pressing and forming the shoulder pad by means of the steam press(60) with a number of needles(61), and (G) discharging the finished shoulder pad. The appts.(100) which is fully automated includes a number of vacuum tanks(50) each having a vacuum pump(51) and a load cell(52), which are located under the automated line of the pallet to suck and hold the workpiece.
