PURPOSE: To record is three-dimensional video and a two-dimensional video by switching the azimuth angle of a recording track at every track and adjacently recording two three-dimensional video signals at a three-dimensional mode. CONSTITUTION: When a two-dimensional mode is selected, a recording mode setting means outputs a first signal and a first signal bestowal means alternately bestows two-dimensional video signals to the second heads B1 and B2 of first heads A1 and A2 at every field. Thus, the track where the two-dimensional video signals are continuously recorded is formed on a magnetic tape. The azimuth angle of the track is switched at every track. On the other hand, a second signal is outputted when the three-dimensional mode is selected, and an activation means and a second bestowal means operate. Thus, one three- dimensional video signal L, the other three-dimensional video signal R and an external input signal A are recorded in the magnetic tape in a circulating order, and the azimuth angle of the recording track is switched at every track. |
