An apparatus for handling inhabited beehives made of stackable elements, characterised in that it has a pivoting vertical frame member (3) supported on one end of horizontal base bars (1) and on pivots (10) of a pair of angled base bars (2) of which the other ends engage the ground via wheels (19) and a joint (16) receiving a slidable pre-adjustable leg (8) with a rotation blocking device (9), the upper end of which is attached by means of a joint (17) to the top of an open, angled fixed support frame (4) coupled to the horizontal base bars (1) by its lower ends (13), and holding by means of a coupling element (12), on either side thereof, the pivoting vertical frame member (3) which is rotated by a horizontal push-pull action exerted on the top, provided with a lifting unit (7) connected by cables (11) to a pincers assembly (6).
