PURPOSE: To provide a line recording device wherein the number of switching elements of a head drive means is small and a maximum value of consuming current is restrained. CONSTITUTION: This line ink jet recording device has a plurality of ink jet head units 2, 3, 4, and 5. The ink jet head units 2, 3, 4, and 5 are arranged such that a distance L' between adjacent ink jet head units in the conveying direction of a recording paper 6 does not become an integral multiple of a record dot pitch in the conveying direction of the recording paper 6. |
