Air-conditioning unit for roof duct in coaches

The air-conditioning unit comprises a heat exchanger (26) and ventilator unit (16). Between the ventilator and its connection with the roof duct (4) is an intermediate chamber (14) which is divided into at least two superposed chambers (12). At least one radial ventilator (18) of the ventilator unit is connected on the outlet side to an upper chamber and at least one is connected on the outlet side to the lower chamber (12). Radial ventilators attached to different chambers of the intermediate chamber have with the same vertical arrangement some outlet openings (32) on the top and some on the bottom. Where several radial ventilators are attached to the same chamber the chamber has an air guide unit (10) dividing the air entering the chamber in opposite directions in the roof duct.
