A household appliance (1,2,3) has a display unit (20) which permits the presentation of data concerning the remaining running time, the appliance and/or the status of the appliance. The data can be presented in a spatial separation from the appliance. The information is passed on as data by an electronic program control (7,7',7''), via a transmitter (17,17',17''), wirelessly to a receiver (21) located in the display unit (20). The display unit (20) features an electronic display control (22) which enables the presentation of the data of several household appliances (1,2,3) which are operated simultaneously, in series or in parallel.
