PURPOSE: To provide a raw material for manufacturing an FRTP product and a method for manufacturing the same which has excellent fluidity and can obtain the product having excellent dynamic characteristics even if the product is thin and in which the breakage of reinforcing fiber in the steps of molding can be suppressed. CONSTITUTION: A raw material for manufacturing an FRTP product is made by impregnating reinforcing fiber bundle in which single yarns are extended in one direction with thermoplastic resin containing powder having a mean particle size of 0.1 to 50μm to be combined. The material is obtained by melting the mixture of the thermoplastic resin with powder, supplying it to a die, drawing the bundle via the die, and impregnating the bundle with the mixture to be combined. |
