TACKY ADHESIVE COMPOUND FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT

PURPOSE: To obtain a tacky adhesive compd. for medical treatment which has good initial tacky adhesiveness, does not induce cold flow and crack during preservation and use, has softness and good water absorption characteristic and lessens the collapse and swell of the form after water absorption. CONSTITUTION: This tacky adhesive compd. consists of a pressure sensitive tacky adhesive component and a water absorptive component as its essential components. This pressure sensitive tacky adhesive component is an elastomer consisting of a thermoplastic elastomer and an elastomer having low compatibility with this thermoplastic elastomer and contains a softener contg. at least liquid rubber and a tackifier.
