PURPOSE: To record resolutions satisfactorily without the use of a dedicated specific sheet. CONSTITUTION: A selection between a first printing mode for a first resolution which outputs two drive signals against a single pulse signal which is output from a microcomputer 86 and a second printing mode for a second resolution which outputs a single drive signal against a single pulse signal, is made by a user using a panel 87. If the first printing mode is selected, two drive signals are output against a single pulse signal which is output from the microcomputer 86, to drive each nozzle to print data. If the second printing mode is selected, a single drive signal is output against a single pulse signal, to drive each nozzle to print data. |
