PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device to improve the assembly efficiency of a discharge part by a method wherein a cylindrical wall part is arranged at an opening closing cover to form a cylindrical body discharge part. CONSTITUTION: A discharge part 6 is formed in an opening closing cover 16b. When the opening closing cover 16b formed of synthetic resin is injection molded, an cylindrical wall part 16b5 is integrally molded on the inner surface of the cover 16b and the cylindrical part is formed as a discharge part 6. Further, after a recording medium 2 is vertically conveyed and an image is formed, the recording medium 2 is discharged approximately in a standing-upright state, but a support rib 16b4 is integrally formed on the inner surface of the cylindrical wall part 16b5, and the discharged recording medium 2 is supported by the rib 16b4. This constitution prevents the fall of a longitudinally long recording medium even when the recording medium is discharged. Thus, when the discharge part 6 is discharged in a cylindrical part formed at the opening closing cover 16b, a need to assemble a wire and the like is eliminated, the number of parts is reduced, and assembly efficiency is improved. |
