FIELD: repair of gas pipelines. SUBSTANCE: tapes made of polymeric materials are wound around outer surface of pipelines through a layer of adhesive matter in field conditions. Device has two coaxial splittable rings rigidly interconnected by couplers, bobbin with tape rotatable on shaft rigidly attached to rings and provided with tensioning outfit, spring-loaded device for moving the device along pipeline axis with moving pitch adjusting setup, and roller kinematically connected with bobbin. Each splittable ring consists of two parts which are movably interconnected at one side on axle and at other side by means of spring-type tensioning outfit. Installed between these rings are at least four shafts with hollow rotatable rubber-coated rollers for pressing the tape. Bobbin with shaft and tape is installed between aforesaid rings of brackets and one them is connected with rings. Second bracket is installed on other ring with possible angular displacement. Mounted between bobbin and pressing roller is hollow rotatable intermediate roller, and mounted on pressing roller shaft is tensioning roller with its outer diameter less than the of pressing roller. Tensioning roller is longer than bobbin, and roller flanges embrace ends of bobbin Value of incline angle of roller rotation axes relative to axis perpendicular to plane of coaxial rings if given in description of invention.
