Flowmeter for measuring engine exhaust flow

The flowmeter includes a zircon substrate with two resistors (2,3) with calibrated temperature coefficient placed along a flux of air whose flow is to be measured. The resistors are made of a number of parallel bands situated normal to the air flow direction. A conducting path (4) links the resistor extremities to connection areas (5,6). An area (9) on the substrate is designated to receive electronic components of the flowmeter. These components make up a circuit which measures the resistivity of the two resistors and compares it with a reference value given by a third resistor.
