The holding device comprises a closed U-shaped stirrup for mounting one or two hook parts of the struts. The hook parts are securely clamped to a structure inside the stirrup by a front wedge flank (2.25'). The rear wedge flank (2.26') is displaceably and undetachably supported by clamping on the inside of the rib of the holding stirrup and between the two arms of the holding stirrup. The wedge (2.2') is held undetachably by a closed guide slot (2.27) between the wedge flanks (2.25',2.26') and a bolt penetrating the slot. On the lower end area of the guide slot is provided a curve running back to the scaffolding support (1.1). A guide section (2.29) is formed on the rear edge of the curve.
