Flood protection device in which two plates made from one material, for example rigid plastic or metal, are fixed together such that they are resistant to air and water pressure and are water impermeable. A pressure resistant rubber connection is so applied between the two plates that it can be inflated at the lower edge and the two side edges (2). An air valve (3) is fitted at one point on the plate.
