摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent adverse effect based on the charge of magnetic permeability associated with from conversion by providing magnetic anisotropy in a helical direction by means of residual stress based on plastic deformation which does not bring an actual macroscopic from change on the surface of a rotary shaft. SOLUTION: The cylindrical shaft 2 having at least ferromagnetic and magnetic distortion areas formed of ferromagnetic and magnetic distortion materials has a pair of peripheral bands, namely, circular bands 6 and 8 detached in a shaft direction and magnetic stress anisotropy in the symmetrical helical direction of the angular direction±θof the axes of easy magnetization is given to the bands. When torque is added to the shaft 2, stress anisotropy generated from it is asymmetrically connected with static anisotropy which is intentionally penetrated into the bands and therefore a difference is generated in the responses of the two bands against equal shaft direction magnetized force. Consequently, torque is sensed by using the difference of the shaft direction magnetic permeability of the two bands.
