<p>PURPOSE: To shorten the time required to retrieve and display a corresponding item and decrease the number of key touches by setting an identifier for a document which is reduced and displayed in matrix format and selecting the part when the corresponding item is displayed on a screen. CONSTITUTION: It is checked whether or not inputted data is a corresponding item, and the corresponding item is emphasized and displayed. A flag is set in a correspondence table stored in a document table storage part 7. Then when a user selects a reduced display function on a keyboard 1 or with a mouse 3, a screen editing process part 9 displays the identifier at the corresponding item according to the correspondence table, and reduces and displays the document in matrix format on a CRT 4. When the user selects the corresponding item on the reduced screen, a display processing part 10 displays principally the corresponding item on the CRT 4 and positions a cursor at the item, thereby making it possible to correct, add, or delete the item immediately.</p> |
